A prime slice of Bondi Beach real estate has landed on the market, and it’s got a hefty $50m price tag attached. The Australia Post building on Hall Street, alongside three neighbouring shops, is up for grabs, offering what agents are calling a “once in a lifetime” chance to reshape one of Australia’s most famous beachside spots.

Spanning a 1453sqm block with a generous 30m frontage, the site at 31-33, 35-37, and 39 Hall Street is being pitched as a “landmark site with unmatched potential.”

Jeremy Wiesner of Wiesner Property and Jerry Leis of Metro Commercial are handling the listing, and they’re banking on big players snapping it up.

“We’re expecting to flush out major developers who increasingly want to invest in Bondi, we think it will be well received,” Wiesner said.

The package includes the heritage-listed Australia Post building—once home to the Commonwealth Bank—plus Bondi Beach Hardware, the Anglican Op Shop, and Uturn clothing, with a backpackers’ setup tucked behind.

Agents reckon developers will eye it for a luxury apartment complex with retail at ground level, weaving in the historic post office structure.

“There are not many of these sites left and Hall St is where everyone wants to be,” Wiesner added.

It’s just a stone’s throw from Bondi’s iconic sandy stretch and sits near 45 Hall Street, a site Wiesner sold for around $21m back in 2019.

That spot has since transformed into the swanky Aqualine apartments, crowned by the Aya penthouse, which fetched $22m last December.

“That had a heritage component — an old house has been converted into a two-level restaurant and wine bar,” Wiesner noted, hinting at the potential for this new listing.

The sale’s going through a tender process, wrapping up at 3pm on Monday, March 24—unless someone swoops in early.

With Bondi’s property scene hotter than ever (a knockdown semi nearby just sold for over $10m), this could be the last big shot at a Hall Street redevelopment.
